What To Expect:

  1. Howick Falls: Depart from Durban and travel past Pietermaritzburg to Howick Falls. Howick Falls is a waterfall in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa. The waterfall is approximately 310 feet high and lies on the Umgeni River. The Zulu people called the falls KwaNogqaza, which means “Place of the Tall One”.
  2. Nelson Mandela Capture Site: From Howick Falls we proceed to Nelson Mandela Capture Site. Nelson Mandela was arrested on 5 August 1962 outside Howick, Natal, South Africa. He spent the next 27 years of his life in prison. The Nelson Mandela Capture Site commemorates this moment in history with a visitor center (museum) and a world-renowned sculpture.
  3. Drakensberg Mountains: From the Nelson Mandela Capture Site we travel along the famous Meander Midlands Region with fascinating country views of hills and valleys en-route to the Drakensberg Mountains. The Drakensberg region has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. The Drakensberg region is extraordinary, thanks to the dramatically beautiful setting.
